STAMM INTERNATIONAL,
A NAME TO TRUST FOR 20 YEARS 

Twenty years ago, a liaison office of a multinational freight forwarding company closed in the Philippines.  Three individualistic young professionals, Urs Hebeisen from Switzerland and his Filipino associates, Doris Torres and Rebecca Pimentel were soon joined by Ramil Santos, a finance expert and continued to offer international air and sea freight services in the Philippines.  What looked at first as an impossible undertaking at the time of great political and economic challenges was the beginning of a success story.  Over the weekend of 16 and 17 October, a staff of 50 has gathered to celebrate but also to reflect on the future. 

“The business we got in the beginning was based on trust, and that has not changed much until today”, the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Urs Hebeisen emphasized.  The dedication to customers, the personal involvement which made this company grow from humble beginning and reach the position of among the first ten percent of the Philippine freight forwarding industry gave us the reputation of “not doing a job but following a mission”, the President, Mrs. Doris Torres has stated.  Stamm International Inc. still today is an independent, privately owned logistics services provider, active worldwide through their exclusive networks. 

A recent audit by PSB (Philippine Shippers’ Bureau) gave Stamm the rank 29 from the top 50 among 600 freight forwarders operating in the Philippines.  In the category Export Sea Europe, they rank No. 5
